The Company is looking for a Full-Time Shipping and Receiving Clerk  to join the team who is motivated, hardworking, and analytical. Under direct supervision of the Warehouse Manager the position is responsible for clerical work in connection with shipping, receiving and storing material and products in the warehouse. This is an excellent opportunity for a shipping and receiving clerk with experience in a high volume, fast paced warehouse environment. Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards. The warehouse shipping and receiving clerk is responsible for various inbound and outbound job functions with completion of paperwork associated. Tasks include scheduling of inbound and outbound shipments, LTL and BOL creation, hands on receiving, putting away material and outbound shipment processing.

C ore Job Functions:

  • Load and unload trucks via forklift
  • Replenishment and relocating materials from storage locations following established procedures and distribute to the appropriate departments.
  • Return processing, including verification of materials and RMA Number when provided, printing necessary paperwork, partnering with accounting or general office, communicate required reports.
  • Data entry, timely email communications, other warehouse functions.
  • Safely operate forklift or other machinery to complete tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, picking, stocking, staging and transportation of goods, following established procedures.
  • Maintain condition of work area including dock, outside in front of dock, (free of trash, product in correct location, etc.). Follows company safety policies including truck jack, dock leveler usage, truck chocks when necessary, other safety procedures encourage other associates to do the same.

Receiving

  • Receive, unload incoming stock and components / sign for packages
  • Organize and sort incoming product, review for accuracy and enter receipt of goods for all products received; stock shelves and bins.

Shipping

  • Pack, crate and/or ship all outgoing products
  • Assemble crates for product and machine shipments
  • Prepare BOL for shipments
  • Utilize UPS and FEDEX Starship for shipping
  • Coordinate freight shipments
  • Update tracking information and maintain shipping records

Education / Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 5 + years current experience in office / warehousing and logistics
  • International shipping/export experience preferred
  • Hazmat experience and training preferred 
  • Previous forklift and equipment operator experience + certification preferred
  • Valid driver’s license required 
  • Basic internet and computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook

Other Duties and Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal skills 
  • Ability to work effectively and cross-functionally with all levels of management and team members
  • The position requires the ability to lift up to 50-60 lbs., bend, stoop and walk/stand 2/3 + time
